Honey Glazed Eisbein
Ingredients
Eisbein
Honey
Salt
Method
Score skin of eisbein in a diamond pattern
Salt liberally
Place on a rack in the oven for 50 minutes at 160°C
Flip over and roast for another 50 minutes
Flip again and roast for 20 minutes
Flip one more time and roast for another 15 minutes at 200°C
Brush all over with honey and return to oven for a further 5 to 10 minutes (make sure the honey doesn't burn)
Let the meat stand for 10 minutes then serve with sauer kraut and mustard
