Guga's Burger Buns

Ingredients
  • 463g Flour

  • 14g Yeast

  • 31g Sugar

  • 30g Milk Powder

  • 9g Salt

  • 41g Melted Butter

  • 220g Lukewarm Water

  • One Large Egg

  • Sesame Seeds

Method

Place all dry ingredients in the bowl of a stand mixer and combine well with a hand whisk.

Add all wet ingredients and use the beater attachment to mix it all together.

Once well-mixed, change to the dough hook, and knead for 3 minutes.

Dough should be elastic and slightly sticky.

Lightly oil a bowl.

Remove the dough from mixer and using quick hand movements (so it doesn't stick to your hands too much), form the dough into a ball and place into the oiled bowl. Cover all sided with oil.

Cover with clingfilm and leave in a warm spot to rise (around 2 hours).

Split the dough into 6 or 8 pieces and roll into balls.

Place on a non-stick mat on a baking sheet, brush wilth oil, cover with cling film and leave to rise for an additional hour.

Beat and egg and brush over the buns.

Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Bake for about 20 minutes at 220°C or until golden brown.
