Senf Gurken

Ingredients
  • 2 kg cucumbers, peeled

  • ¾ litre Malt Vinegar

  • ¾ litre Water

  • 250g Sugar

  • 50g Salt

  • 2 Onions, sliced

  • 2 tsp Horse Radish

  • 1 bunch of Dill

  • 1 tbsp Mustard

  • 1 tbsp Pepper corns

Method
  1. De-seed cucumbers and cut into 2cm pieces

  2. Heat together vinegar, water, sugar & salt

  3. Add cucumbers and bring to boil

  4. Add other ingredients evenly to preserving jars

  5. Pour in cucumber mixture

Notes

About 15 big cucumbers will fill our big pot
